# Deliberate practice

Note: doing thing repeatedly is not the deliberate practice e.g., driving a car every day does not mean you are becoming a better driver.
1. **define your learning goal**: one clear outcome is far more better than a vague goals such as "succeed in..." or "become better at..."
2. **commit to absolute focus**
3. **get immediate feedback**: if you want to get better at something, it is not enough to repeat what you already know. you need detect gap in your technique and work to improve it.
4. **push yourself outside your comfort zone**
